Our networks

Studio Voltaire is part of several networks including Syllabus, Allied Editions and Common Practice, London.

Syllabus

The Syllabus is a national, collaboratively-produced alternative learning programme for artists, delivered by Studio Voltaire, London; Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge; Eastside Projects, Birmingham; Iniva, London; and Spike Island, Bristol.

Launched in 2015, the programme supports ten artists per year over a ten month period. The programme is developed collaboratively with the participating artists, the partner institutions and two artistic advisors.

Allied Editions

Allied Editions is a unique artist’s editions collective made up of seven of London’s leading not-for-profit organisations: Camden Arts Centre, Chisenhale Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), South London Gallery, Serpentine Galleries and Whitechapel Gallery. Supported by Frieze Art Fair, the collective hosts a shared stand at Frieze London and Frieze New York showcasing specially commissioned limited editions for sale. Leading contemporary artists donate all editions, with the proceeds directly supporting the organisations’ exhibition and education programmes.

Common Practice, London

The group’s founding members were Afterall, Chisenhale Gallery, Electra, Gasworks, LUX, Matt’s Gallery, Mute Publishing, The Showroom, and Studio Voltaire – the group has recently been joined by Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts) and Electra and Mute Publishing have retired. Together the members represent a diverse range of activities including commissioning, production, publishing, research, exhibitions, residencies and artists’ studios.
