An edition of 50, each individually signed and numbered by the artists, the set includes works on paper and a specially commissioned sculpture by Brazilian artist, Erika Verzutti. Studio Voltaire Portfolio 2007 presents a collection of works by a six of the most interesting artists working in Europe and internationally today, including Daniel Sinsel who has produced his first ever editioned work for Studio Voltaire and Hayley Tompkins whose contribution is an editioned series of unique watercolour paintings.

assume vivid astro focus, Born anytime between the 20th and 21st century in various parts of the world
assume vivid astro focus have made numerous solo presentations including John Connelly Presents (2007); Galeria Triangulo, Sao Paulo (2006); Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna (2006) and Tate Liverpool, Liverpool (2005).  The group were commissioned to make public art projects in Central Park by The Public Art Fund, New York and Frieze Art Fair Projects, London in collaboration with Los Super Elegantes (both 2004). assume vivid astro focus are represented by Peres project, Los Angeles; John Connelly Presents, New York and Hiromi Yoshii Gallery, Tokyo.

Thea Djordjadze, Born 1971, Georgia
Previous solo exhibitions and projects include Studio Voltaire (2007): Micky Schubert, Berlin (2007) and Mohr-Villa, Marienplatz, Munich (offsite project) (2006).  The artist has a forthcoming collaborative project with Rosemarie Trockel at Sprueth Magers, London (2007) and is participating in this years Lyon Biennial.  Djordjadze was also a founding member of the collective hobbypopMUSEUM.  The artist is based in Cologne and is represented by Sprueth Magers, Munich/Cologne/London and Micky Schubert, Berlin.

Daniel Sinsel, Born 1976, Germany
The artist was nominated for Becks Futures in 2006 and has had solo exhibitions at Sadie Coles HQ, London (2007 and 2005) and Galeria Luisa Strina, São Paulo (2006).  Daniel Sinsel has participated in various group exhibitions including Hauser & Wirth, Zurich (2005); Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland (2004), Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York (2004) and The Breeder, Athens (2003).  The artist is based in London and is represented by Sadie Coles HQ, London.

Hayley Tompkins, Born 1971, England
Hayley Tompkins has previously made solo exhibitions at The Modern Institute, Glasgow; Andrew Kreps, New York; Galerie Giti Nourbakhsch, Berlin and Jack Hanley, San Francisco; where the artist is represented and has a forthcoming solo exhibition at The Drawing Room, London in 2008.  The artist has shown alongside Sue Tompkins in two person exhibitions at Spike Island (2007); West London Projects (2005) and Transmission Gallery (1999). Tompkins is based in Glasgow and was nominated for Becks Futures in 2004.

Paloma Varga Weisz, Born 1966, Germany
Paloma Varga Weisz lives and works in Düsseldorf.  She has had various international solo exhibitions, including Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (2006), Barbara Gladstone Gallery (2005), Sadie Coles HQ (2005), Museum Kurhaus, Kleve (2004) and Konrad Fischer Gallery, Düsseldorf (2002).  The artist participated in Of Mice and Men, the 4th Berlin Biennial (2006).  Varga Weisz is represented by Sadie Coles HQ, London, Barbara Gladstone Gallery, New York and Konrad Fischer Gallery, Germany

Erika Verzutti, Born 1971, Brazil
Erika Verzutti lives and works in São Paulo.  The artist has exhibited widely including Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2005), SESC Paulista, São Paulo (2005) and Liverpool Biennal, Liverpool (2002).  Verzutti has had two solo exhibitions at Galeria Fortes Vilaça, São Paulo (2006 and 2003), where the artist is represented and a forthcoming show at Blow de la Barra, London (2007).
